    This hand-operated water pump in North Cheriton, Somerset is a Grade II Listed Building. Dates from the early 19th Century. Cast Iron. Pillar about 300 mm square and 1.2 metres high; panelled faces, ornate stepped and spiked top; spout on North face, curved handle on West side. Pump supplied by J. Portnell of Wincanton and with manufacturer's inscription 'Bamford's Frost Protected Lift Pump'. Located adjacent to a vintage public telephone box (Type K6 Kiosk) dating from around 1935.
